My Weekend in Poznan - Part I

I've been to Poznan twice already and for some reason I still can't get enough of it. Hopefully these pictures will give you an idea of the awesome city I've come to enjoy!

This is Poznan's train station
Map of Poznan

Statue of Neptune

Me in front of the Fountain of Neptune
Statue of St. John
Just hanging a shoe
Don't mess with the pigeons!

Town Hall of Poznan
No idea what this guy was up to. Praying? Protesting? We just left him alone

Just a wild guess...Here's the Archeology Museum?

Parish Church
What a beauty!!
The detail work on the church's ceiling is ridiculous
Ridiculousness Part II
Seeing this almost made me wish I could play the organ...almost

Pope John Paul II

Last but not least, check out the altar!

This club has my name on it. Must check it out at some point!
Who wants to duel?
Kebab sandwich with fries...yum

A taste of home...H&M
Just another busy day at the mall
I appreciate the creativity
The graphic tee is so popular here...I don't know how I feel about it yet
Of course it is
There was a time I thought I needed a good pair of overalls...
I thought this quote was hilarious. In case you can;t read it:
"Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes."

Yes, please!

Chess, anyone?
View of the mall from one of its many exits
And here's another one
Last one I promise..

The Imperial Castle

In Poland it's referred to as the Zamek. It was constructed in 1910 by Franz Schwechten for William II, a German Emperor.
It's more of a palace than a castle
Filharmonica Poznanska
University Aula
Monument of the two crosses commemorates the victims of the June 1956 demonstrations against the communists in Poznan
This tablet commemorates Pope John Paul II visit to Poznan in 1997
Monument of Adam Mickiewicz
Poland's most famous Polish poet
Grand Theater located in Mickiewicz Park
Collegium Minus of Adam Mickiewicz University and Konrad

You have reached the end of Poznan Part I. I will be posting Part II sometime in the very near future.

Tomorrow is our first game against a very good Impel Wrocław team. Wish us luck and don't forget to subscribe!!
